Norwalk Man Charged In Main Avenue Stabbing NORWALK, Conn. -- A 20-year-old Norwalk man was charged Wednesday following a stabbing that sent one person to the hospital, according to police. Plinio Chavez of 356 Main Ave. was charged with first-degree assault and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was issued a $20,000 bond and will appear in court on June 17. Police were called to 356 Main Ave. at around 10:10 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a disturbance. Officers arrived to find a male victim suffering from a stab wound, police said. Chase Bank In Westport Robbed Thursday Morning WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Chase Bank on Main Street in Westport was robbed Thursday morning by a man who claimed to have a weapon, according to police. Police received a 911 call at around 11 a.m. reporting the robbery. Responding officers determined that a white man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money, police said. The man indicated that he had a weapon but did not display one, according to police. An undetermined amount of money was taken and the suspect left on foot, heading south on Main Street, police said. Darien Remembers Those Who Served With Memorial Day Parade And Ceremony DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien community came together Monday for a Memorial Day parade and ceremony to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service of their country. Metro-North To Resume Full Service Friday Metro-North will return to its regular schedule Friday after completing repairs to sections of the railroad's Park Avenue Viaduct that were damaged in a massive fire Tuesday night.
