Franklin Sousa-Filho was driving a Lexus LS400 when it crashed into a pole on W. Ritch Avenue around 2:10 a.m. Sunday, May 10, according to Greenwich police. Police said an officer monitoring Delavan Avenue for speeding drivers spotted the Lexus traveling 50 mph in a 25-mph zone. The Lexus then ran a red light at Delavan Avenue and Frontage Road, police said. The officer followed the vehicle and found it had crashed into a pole with significant damage.
