Tractor-Trailer Catches Fire On I-87, Blocks Lanes In Suffern (Developing) A tractor-trailer caught fire on the Thruway in Rockland County on Friday afternoon, June 5, blocking lanes of traffic.  The fire was reported on I-87 northbound in Suffern before Exit 15 for I-287 South and Route 17 South at around 4:22 p.m., according to 511NY traffic reports.
