Gas Tank Ruptures On Burning Pickup Truck In Brewster An intense truck fire closed part of a Putnam County road for around an hour as firefighters put out the flames.  The blaze happened on Monday evening, June 29, on Milltown Road in Brewster near Scenic Ridge Road, according to the Brewster Fire Department.  Arriving crews found a pickup truck fully engulfed in flames.  While fighting the fire, the truck's gas tank ruptured, forcing firefighters to switch to using foam to put out the blaze.  Luckily, no injuries were reported. The fire closed Milltown Road for close to an hour.
