Cross County Center in Westchester County is getting a major upgrade.
Construction has begun on a two-building, 60,000-square-foot retail expansion at the longtime open-air shopping center in Yonkers, along with plans for a new four-acre park designed to serve as the property’s “front door," according to Marx Realty CEO Craig Deitelzweig.

Yonkers officials marked the opening of Hudson 44, a 27-story residential tower at 44 Hudson St., now the tallest building in the city, Mayor Mike Spano announced Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Rising along the city’s waterfront, the development adds 250 residential units, including 25 designated as affordable housing, according to the mayor. The project represents one of the largest recent residential investments in the city’s ongoing waterfront redevelopment.
