A newly built luxury apartment community in North Jersey has secured $15.4 million in refinancing, JLL Capital Markets announced.
The property, known as The Clair, is a 40-unit Class A residential building located at 37 Orange Road in Montclair, within walking distance of the Bay Street and Walnut Street NJ Transit stations.
JLL represented the borrower, Hampshire Real Estate Companies, in arranging a five-year, fixed-rate loan through National Life Group, officials said.

A North Jersey home has made real estate history, selling for $5.275 million, the highest residential sale ever recorded in town, real estate agents said.
The property, located at 128 Woodland Ave., in Westfield, was represented by Sandra Bliwise and Megan Brown of The Highland Group from Christie’s Westfield office. The buyer was represented by Alyssa Stanek, Realtor-Associate with Corcoran Sawyer Smith, the firm said.

A 36-unit apartment complex in North Jersey has sold for $6.6 million.
The property, Stephanie Gardens, located at 72 3rd Avenue in Garwood, was marketed exclusively by Kislak with President Robert Holland and Managing Director Jeff Squires representing the longtime owner, Garwood Associates, LP. The buyer, Garwood Gardens, LLC, was also procured by The Kislak Company, Inc., the firm said.
