Cocaine, Mushrooms Gets NJ Man Arrested: Cape May County Prosecutor
A 31-year-old Cape May County resident was arrested and charged on Wednesday, June 10, with distributing drugs throughout the county, authorities announced.
A search warrant was executed at Hector Melendez's residence in Villas, leading to the seizure of over ½ ounce of cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, various items of paraphernalia associated with the distribution of controlled dangerous substances (CDS), and a large sum of cash, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Lower Township Police Chief Donald Vanaman said.

A former NYPD sergeant has been indicted on charges that she fraudulently collected more than $132,000 in salary and overtime pay by claiming to work hundreds of hours she never actually worked, prosecutors announced.
Rayna Rampaul, 42, of Queens, who was formerly known as Rayna Madho, has been charged with second-degree grand larceny and four counts of first-degree falsifying business records, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced on Tuesday, June 9.

Westville Dad Killed In Route 295 Crash, 27
Carlos Steven Romero-Guzman, a 27-year-old Westville man and father of three, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 295 in West Deptford on Monday, June 1.
A graduate of Gateway Regional High School in 2017, Romero-Guzman loved the outdoors, including going hiking and riding his motorcycle, according to his obituary from the McCann-Healey Funeral Home website.
