LBI Boat Crash: 1 Dead After Memorial Day Tragedy (Update) UPDATE: A 28-year-old man has died after being ejected from a boat on Memorial Day on LBI, Daily Voice has learned.  He was identified by New Jersey State Police as Gunnar Pearson, of Barnegat. The crash was first reported by The Lakewood Scoop and happened at approximately 5:45 p.m., when the boat struck a day marker in Barnegat Bay, New Jersey State Police said.  The two ejected occupants were taken to an area hospital in critical condition, authorities said.
