Overturned Freightliner Shuts All Lanes Of Turnpike For Hours An overturned tractor trailer closed all lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike's western spur in Kearny Wednesday, June 12. New Jersey State Police said the Freightliner collided with a Nissan passenger car, causing the truck to flip just after 5:10 p.m. on the northbound side on the Interchange 15W ramp in Kearny. As of 8:35 p.m., all lanes were closed, the NJDOT said. The crash remains under investigation and minor injuries were reported.
