The White House is getting a new ballroom. But according to President Donald Trump, that's not the half of it.
Trump confirmed late Sunday night, March 29, that the US military is constructing a "massive" underground complex directly beneath the $400 million ballroom currently being built at the White House.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, the president described the gleaming new ballroom, which will span 90,000 square feet and accommodate up to 1,000 guests, as little more than a "shed" for the secret facility below.
