16,500 Fentanyl Packages Found On NYC Man Traveling To Capital Region: DA
A man hauling 16,500 packages of fentanyl and heroin from New York City to the Capital Region was busted in a traffic stop, authorities said Monday, April 27.
Ramon Riveras, a 35-year-old Bronx man, was traveling through Albany around 7:45 p.m. on March 1 when he was stopped by New York State Police, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.
During the traffic stop off the Washington Avenue Extension, officers found 16,500 glassine envelopes containing fentanyl and heroin, authorities said.
