A fired delivery driver is accused of slashing tires on nearly 30 Amazon delivery vehicles, stealing key fobs, and trying to hide evidence in a river, authorities said.
Anthony Gillio of Cape Coral, Florida, was arrested on Friday, May 1, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said. The 22-year-old was charged with grand theft of between $5,000 and $10,000, two counts of criminal mischief, and tampering with evidence.

Two women were arrested in a prostitution sting on Long Island on Tuesday, May 5, and one of them is facing deportation, police said.
Qingyun Luo, 46, and Jiewen Wang, 32, were busted following the undercover operation at Dream Spa in Valley Stream, the Nassau County Police Department said Wednesday, May 6.
Cops found “illegal services” were being offered by the spa employees at the West Merrick Road business, authorities said.

Mario Hurtado Galindo, 37, was arrested around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 for the break-ins across New Hyde Park, Westbury, Bethpage, Woodmere, and Roslyn Heights, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Hurtado Galindo took jewelry, designer handbags, and cash in his burglaries, according to investigators. He was nabbed following an extensive investigation.

A Long Island man was killed while walking through a parking lot Wednesday morning, May 6, police said.
Silverio Saldana Trejo, 60, was struck by a 2022 Ford F-150 at a 7-Eleven in Center Moriches, the Suffolk County Police Department said. The Center Moriches resident was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 60-year-old man driving the F-150 turned into the gas station at 231 Wading River Road around 4:40 a.m. and struck Saldana Trejo, police said. The driver, a resident of Granbury, TX, was not injured.

The Freeport Fire Department responded to the blaze on Raynor Street on Tuesday, May 5.
