Two women were arrested during a raid at a suspected brothel in Commack, Suffolk County Police announced on Thursday, May 21.
The investigation began after community complaints about alleged activity at 1005 Commack Road, according to police. Detectives with the Human Trafficking Investigations Unit, along with Second Precinct Patrol and Crime Section officers, executed a search warrant at the location around 12:55 p.m.

A Long Island woman who was arrested last year called and harassed a family member of the cop who cuffed her, police said Thursday, May 21.
Beatrix Lacroix, 31, was first arrested in October 2025 for fleeing police, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
Then on Saturday, May 16, Lacroix “made a harassing phone call” to a relative of the officer who arrested her, authorities said.

Repeat LI Offender Busted Again For Illegal Gambling At Same Business: Cops
A Long Island repeat offender was arrested again in connection with illegal gambling machines inside a business on Wednesday, May 20, police said.
Rafael Osorio, 29, was cuffed following a search of Nassau Fish Market in Roosevelt just before 9 p.m., the Nassau County Police Department said.
Officers entered the business at 245 Nassau Road and found four illegal gambling machines inside, authorities said. The machines held $4,134 in cash, according to investigators.
