Kane Moore Sentenced In Maurice Thomas Killing
A late-night card game ended in a fatal shooting when a Long Island man pulled a gun during an argument and killed one of his friends, prosecutors announced on Friday, June 5. Kane Moore, 32, of Hempstead, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the Sept. 21, 2024, killing of Maurice Sinclair Thomas, 39, in Hempstead, according to Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly.
