$40K Stolen For Vegas Vacation By Former Manager Of Historic New York Cemetery
A former cemetery manager admitted stealing more than $40,000 from one of the Capital Region's most historic landmarks and spending some of the money on trips to Las Vegas, Walt Disney World, and other personal expenses, prosecutors announced.
David Eslinger, 58, of Fort Edward, pleaded guilty to Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and Identity Theft in the First Degree before Albany County Judge Roger McDonough on Thursday, March 27, according to Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon.

A 16-year-old girl escaped an alleged rape, climbed a fence while partially unclothed, and called 911 as the suspect searched for her in New York, prosecutors announced on Tuesday, June 16.
Antonio Melendez Reyes, 59, was indicted after the attack on New York Avenue on Saturday, June 6, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.
The teen was walking home when Melendez Reyes allegedly approached her and repeatedly asked for her phone number, prosecutors said. After she refused, he allegedly forced her into an alley and sexually assaulted her.

Actress Anne Schedeen Dies: Best Known As Mom On Popular NBC Sitcom 'ALF'
A familiar face from one of TV’s quirkiest sitcom families has died.
Anne Schedeen, best known for playing Kate Tanner on the NBC sitcom "ALF," died at age 77, her family announced Sunday, June 14, in a post on her Facebook page.
A cause of death was not publicly disclosed.
"We are bereft without her," her family wrote, also calling Schedeen "a force."
The family remembered her creative energy, humor, artwork, handmade jewelry, oil paintings, sculptures, costumes, and love of stories.
They also asked those mourning her to "Raise a margarita in her honor."
