Pedestrian Killed On I-676 In Philadelphia, Troopers Say An unidentified man was hit by a car and died on Interstate 676 in Philadelphia on Wednesday morning, May 15, authorities say.  State police said the man walked from the right shoulder into the left westbound lane near Exit 1.5  around 4:15 a.m. He was struck and thrown back into the right shoulder where first responders found him fatally injured, troopers said. Route 61 In Schuylkill County Reopens After Gas Line Break (Updated) Route 61 between Frackville and St. Clair has reopened, PennDOT told Daily Voice Wednesday evening.  The highway was shut down on Tuesday morning, May 14 after a contractor accidentally struck a gas main during a reconstruction project, officials said.  Traffic was detoured to US 209, Route 901 and Interstate 81 while crews repaired the line.  Note: This story has been updated.

Driver Wanted For Kennett Square Hit-Run, Police Say Kennett Square police are searching for a driver who they said fled the scene of an accident on Thursday, May 9.  A man in a white Chrysler 200 pulled onto Center Street from Scarlett Alley and struck another car after running the stop sign on West Cypress Street, according to authorities.  He "pulled over and briefly interacted with the other vehicle" before leaving the scene, police said.
