A deadly confrontation at a Franklin County home ended in gunfire, leaving a 44-year-old man dead, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Friday, May 1.
Troopers were dispatched to the 800 block of Lincoln Way West in Hamilton Township around 12:42 p.m. for a report of a suspicious person, according to the release.
While responding, police received additional information that a man wearing camouflage was shooting and had fled the area in a red van, authorities said.

A disturbing discovery of dead pet ducks has led to criminal charges in Cumberland County, authorities announced on Tuesday, April 28.
Dale Philip Noles, 53, Jennifer Lynn Welsh, 35, and Madalynn Marie Geibe, 19, all of Enola, were charged following an investigation on Altoona Avenue, according to East Pennsboro Township Police.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Altoona Avenue at 12:47 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, where multiple ducks kept as backyard pets were found dead, police said.
