Nearly 2,000 Cyclists Join Closer To Free Ride For Cancer Care Nearly 2,000 cyclists from Connecticut and beyond took part in the 16th annual Closer to Free Ride in September, supporting cancer care and research at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center. The annual fundraiser offered supported cycling routes ranging from 10 to 100 miles, while others participated remotely from communities across the country.
