Disturbing details have been revealed in the arrest of an Atlantic City high school teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a former student. Joseph A. Scalfaro, 47, of Absecon, allegedly sent the 17-year-old girl coded messages, kissed her in his classroom, NJ Advance Media reports citing court papers. Atlantic City HS Teacher Charged With Sexual Contact With Ex-Student: Prosecutor
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit conducted an investigation into an inappropriate relationship between a former student at the Atlantic City High School and a teacher at the school. The teacher, identified as Joseph A. Jalial Whitted, 38, of Absecon, was indicted on charges stemming from a May 24 shooting at a Dollar General Store, authorities said. Whitted allegedly brandished a handgun and opened fire inside of the store in Absecon, they said. 6 Arrested On Drug Charges In Atlantic City: Police
SIx people were arrested on drug chareges in Atlantic City, authorities said. Overnight on Thursday, Sept. 1, members of the Atlantic City Police Department’s Special Investigations Section conducted a surveillance operation in the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue and the 2600 block of Pacific Avenue. The operation yielded approximately eight grams of cocaine and 150 individual wax folds of heroin. About $970 in cash currency, believed to be proceeds of illegal narcotics sales, was also recovered. A 41-year-old man from South Jersey is charged with sharing more than 1,000 images of child pornography on the internet. Stephen T. Two South Jersey men were arrested in connection with a fight that ended in a stabbing, authorities said. On Friday, June 3 at 5:35 a.m., police dispatch received a 9-1-1 call regarding a fight near Florida and Atlantic Avenues, Atlantic City police said.
