Bridgeport Cop Arrested For Third Domestic Violence Incident, Shelton Police Say
A Bridgeport police officer has been arrested for domestic violence for the third time in the past several years. Stephen Figueroa, 29, of Shelton, was arrested after a woman came to police headquarters around 9 a.m., Saturday, June 29, and reported she had been involved in a domestic incident with Figueroa, said Shelton Police Det. Christopher Nugent. The woman told officers that she went over to Figueroa’s apartment in Shelton at around 4 a.m. to retrieve some personal property, Nugent said. Riverdale Schools Sup't Placed On Administrative Leave
Riverdale Schools Interim Superintendent Geoffrey Gordon was placed on administrative leave Monday. School Principal Paul Kobliska and Business Administrator Jayson Gutierrez made the announcement in a letter posted to the district's website, saying they could not provide any further information.
