Prosecutor: North Jersey Landlord Had Sex With 13 Tenants In Exchange For Rent Relief
The owner of hundreds of rental units scattered across 18 residential properties in Elizabeth has been arrested and criminally charged with forcing more than a dozen of his tenants into sexual acts in exchange for financial relief, authorities said. With New York facing a record-setting $15 billion deficit amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s budget proposal includes a potential tax hike for the state’s wealthiest residents. A Newark housing complex that was once decayed has been fully restored into a $172 million affordable housing project called Garden and Spruce Spires.
