On Saturday, Sept., 28, State Police from Brewster arrested Jason M. Curnen, 26, of Bedford, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on I-684 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. On Saturday, Sept. 21, State Police from Stormville arrested Oscar G. Tapia, 36, of Mount Vernon, for DWI with two prior convictions within ten years, a felony. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

A patient being transported by an ambulette was killed after the vehicle was hit by a Cadillac driven by a drunk driver on Long Island, police say.
The crash happened on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 11:45 p.m. in Glen Cove.
An ambulette was traveling southbound on Walnut Road with its lights and sirens on, transporting a male patient for difficulty breathing, Nassau County Police said.
