A local teenager surrendered himself into police custody over the weekend after being involved in a hit and run that damaged property in Airmont. The 19-year-old Airmont resident, whose name has not been released, is facing a charge of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident following an incident early on Friday morning on Friday, May 11 on Church Road. The Ramapo Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance as they continue their search for two suspects who remain at large after allegedly stealing a guitar with a value of nearly $1,900. Do you know them? The Ramapo Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in the identification of these two men seen in the two images above. The men are believed to be involved in a theft of a $1,900 American Elite Stratocaster guitar. The theft occurred at Alto Music on Route 59 in the Village of Airmont on Tuesday, April 17 at about noontime. Know Him? Alert Issued For Wanted Ramapo Suspect
Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a wanted man who failed to appear for court proceedings after being charged with violating Alcohol Beverage Control laws. The Ramapo Police Department issued an alert on Friday regarding Darrell Ridgeway, who is wanted on a charge of criminal nuisance after he allegedly violated the ABC law dating back to an incident in Airmont in 2016. New Driver Crashes Into Airmont Home
A new driver lost control of the car and crashed into an Airmont home. The incident took place around 4 p.m. Wednesday when the driver became confused and crashed a 2006 Toyota into the front area of the home on North Lorna Lane, said Ramapo Police. There were no injuries and the car did not enter the house. The driver was not issued any tickets, police said.

A 28-year-old Westchester man is awaiting arraignment after he was found with a loaded handgun and a large amount of cash following a report of a domestic assault in Rockland County.Just after 4 a.m. Sunday, April 1, Ramapo Police officers responded to a report of the alleged assault in the Village of Airmont. Man Nabbed For Village Of Airmont Burglary
A 49-year-old Mahwah man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into an Airmont business last month, police said. Officials from the Ramapo Police Department announced the arrest of the man - whose name has not been released - this week, following an investigation into the break-in on Feb. 10 in Airmont. The man faces charges that include third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and grand larceny. Following arraignment in the Town of Ramapo Court, the man was released on bail and is due back in court later this month to answer the charges.

Rockland Man Sentenced For Sex Abuse Of Child
A Rockland County man was sentenced Thursday to 20 years to life in prison for the sexual assault of a child and 20 years for sexual conduct against a child.
