Pedestrian Struck While In Crosswalk Hospitalized: Lititz Police
A pedestrian is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Lititz, Police announced on Thursday, Sept. 25. The pedestrian "who had the right-of-way and was crossing within the crosswalk, was struck by a vehicle making a left turn onto North Cedar Street," the police wrote in the release. The crash happened at the intersection of PA 772/East Main and North Cedar streets in Lititz at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, according to the police. A crash during Thursday morning's commute on Sept. 19 brought a large emergency response to the northbound lanes of I-295. As of 8:40 a.m., an ambulance and firetruck were at the scene in Barrington. A delay of 5-10 minutes was reported.

Two multiple-vehicle crashes have slowed traffic to a crawl on Route 283 West in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Tuesday evening, Sept. 10. Four Victims Hospitalized In Emerson Rollover Crash (

Four people were hospitalized in a rollover crash Tuesday, Sept. 3 in Emerson, according to incident reporter Boyd A. Loving. A white SUV was heading west on Old Hook Road when it broadsided a blue SUV leaving a nearby medical building in the late morning hours, Loving said. The blue SUV overturned and the occupants were extricated by firefighters using the Jaws of Life. All four victims of the crash were taken to local hospitals. Injured Hiker Rescued From Park In Chappaqua
First responders were seen rushing to a park in Northern Westchester to help out an injured hiker stranded in the woods. The rescue happened on Friday, Aug. 24 around 4:15 p.m., when first responders learned a hiker was injured and stuck in the woods at the back of Gedney Park in Chappaqua, according to the Millwood Fire Department. Arriving crews brought a backboard and stokes to the hiker's location and safely took them out of the woods. The hiker was later loaded on an awaiting ambulance, the department added.

A teenage boy is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle, Lititz Borough Police announced on Saturday, Aug. 24. The teen was riding his bike north on the sidewalk along PA Route 501 when he crossed over into East Lincoln Avenue right in front of a vehicle that was traveling west on the Avenue, "resulting in a collision," police explained in the release. A minor was killed in a Loudoun County crash involving an ambulance on Friday night, police say. A Pennsylvania man was airlifted to a hospital after a crash involving an ambulance heading to an emergency in Cape May County, authorities said. Firefighters were called to the westbound lanes at milepost 65.5 just after 3:20 a.m., where a Mercedes Benz had rear-ended a box truck, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.
