Five Juveniles In Stolen Vehicle Take Police On High-Speed Chase A carload of juveniles in a stolen car took police on a high-speed chase early Friday from the City of Poughkeepsie before being stopped in the Town of Amenia, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. The event took place around 1:15 a.m. when sheriff's deputies responded to a call for help from the City of Poughkeepsie Police to stop the vehicle which wasn't complying, said Capt. John Watterson. Amenia Man Arrested For Rape A 34-year-old Dutchess County man was charged with rape following an investigation by New York State Troopers into a rape complaint.  Cresson T. Horton of Amenia was arrested on Friday, Jan. 19 after troopers received a complaint from a victim who told investigators that Horton forced them to perform sexual acts, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Troopers from the Dover Plains barracks charged Horton, who was familiar with the victim, with felony rape and felony criminal sexual act, Hicks said. Horton was arraigned before the town of Amenia Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.…
