Cinemex Holdings USA, Inc. and Cinemex USA Real Estate Holdings, Inc. (CMX) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco ordered the shutdown of public places amid fears around COVID-19 Friday effective immediately. Since Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency, the number of cases has risen to 50 -- with 17 in Bergen County alone. You've got two days to check out the American Dream Mall before it closes, delaying the opening of the DreamWorks Water Park and other stores. A worker hospitalized after a collision at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford on Wednesday has died, authorities said. Eric Papenfuhs, 37, of the Hunterdon County town of Hampton, was brought to the trauma unit at Hackensack University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries after a Bobcat utility vehicle he was operating crashed into the back of a flatbed around 2:15 p.m., they said. NJ Transit will introduce bus service to the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, the agency said.
