The person was hit by a Northeast Corridor train for the New Jersey Transit just west of Princeton Junction Station at around 9:26 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. Train No. 3825 had left New York Penn Station at 8:12 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Trenton at 9:48 a.m. The pedestrian was also struck by an Amtrak train at the same location. Man Falls On Train Tracks In Bridgeport, Rolls Under Amtrak Train, MTA Says A man who fell on the tracks at a Fairfield County train station was lucky and was able to roll under an Amtrak train. The incident occurred in Bridgeport at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the train station at 525 Water St.  According to Dave Steckel with the Metropolitan Transportation Administration, the unidentified man rolled under the Amtrak train and did not make contact. A preliminary investigation reveals the man sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Steckel said.  This is a developing story. Man Struck Dead By Amtrak In Philly, Police Say A man was struck dead by an Amtrak in Philadelphia on Saturday night, Philadelphia Police announced on July 14.  The "John Doe" was struck by the Amtrak along the tracks at Harbison Avenue and Bridge Street in Mayfair at 9:43 p.m. on July 13, PPD detailed in the release.  The striking train, Engine 52, had been heading south, according to the police. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 10:13 p.m. Additional information was unavailable at the time of publishing. Man Struck, Killed By Amtrak Train In Capital Region A man has died after being struck by an Amtrak train in the region. The Rensselaer County incident happened in the town of Schodack, along River Road, just before 9 a.m. Friday, July 5. New York State Police an Amtrak train stopped and called emergency services after striking a pedestrian. Authorities located the man and pronounced him dead at the scene a short time later. Police are withholding his identity until his family has been notified. The railroad tracks were closed in both directions for nearly 3 ½ hours while crews investigated. The railway has since reopened.
