A raging mad man brandishing a shotgun was taken into custody following an incident with a driver in Annapolis, police say. Wayne Scott Williams, 66, was arrested on Thursday morning after multiple complaints were made about a man upset about speeding in the neighborhood. According to the Annapolis Police Department, Williams was displeased about drivers in his neighborhood, and pointed a shotgun at a passing motorist in response, causing concern for some neighbors. William Raynard Herold is back in custody less than two hours after he escaped in Annapolis while being transported to a detention center, police confirmed. Shortly before noon on Thursday, July 11, an alert was issued by the Annapolis Police Department advising that officers, state police, and a police helicopter were hunting for the wanted 22-year-old man, who made his way to a wooded area near the Annapolis Exchange. Blue Angels To Thrill Annapolis This Week: Here's When
The Blue Angels will be flying over Annapolis twice this week: Once for practice, once for show. The esteemed team of jets, comprised of 138 world-class US Sailors and Marines, will be in town for US Naval Academy Commissioning Week, closing the Severn River twice. Practice is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. The show will be Wednesday, May 22 beginning at 2 p.m. The flight path will be over the Annapolis Maritime Museum and over the US Naval Academy.
