Three Arrested After Stabbing At Atlantic City Resort: Police
Two Newark residents and a Maryland man were arrested and charged after a man was stabbed and a woman assaulted at a resort in Atlantic City, authorities announced Wednesday, April 15.
At 10:37 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, officers responded to the Showboat Resort and and located a 38-year-old Severn, Maryland woman who had been assaulted, Atlantic City police said. She was transferred to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The stabbing victim, Quheem Whitehead, a 38-year-old Newark resident, later arrived at a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Coury Hospitality celebrated the grand opening of The Seahaus Hotel, the city’s first Marriott Tribute Portfolio lifestyle hotel, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 16, officials said.

Westchester Public Building Ranked Among Ugliest In US, New Survey Finds
A national survey has named the "ugliest" public buildings in the US, and several from the Northeast landed high on the list.
The study, conducted by New Jersey realtor Rob Dekanski, focused on how residents view the design of civic buildings across the country. More than 3,000 people were surveyed in July, with results weighted by age, gender, and geography.

Warren Young, a police officer in Atlantic City, died on Wednesday, July 16, according to the Atlantic City PBA Local #24. He was 30 years old.
The PBA lauded Young in a fundraising appeal, saying he served his community with "courage and compassion." Young leaves behind three children, Warren IV, 6, Bowe, 2 and Hunter, 1.
"His loss has left an unimaginable void in their lives and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him," PBA President Jules Schwenger said.
