Plane Careens Off Runway At Monmouth Jet Center
A small jet slid off the runway at Monmouth Jet Center in Wall late Tuesday night, police said. The Learjet 55 landing after a trip from Richmond, Va., had five people aboard. It continued off the end of the runway and down an embankment into the grass after touching down just before midnight, authorities said. Neither the two pilots nor the three passengers were hurt at the center, also known as Monmouth County Airport, Wall police said.

Plane At Newark Airport Leaks Fuel During Takeoff: Police
About 240 gallons of fuel spilled from an airliner as it was preparing to take off at Newark Liberty International Airport Monday afternoon, the Port Authority said in a statement. United Flight 1596 was taxiing when the leak occurred. The Port Authority Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter unit responded and evacuated the plane. A helicopter pilot was killed while crash-landing on the roof of a building on 7th Avenue between 51st and 52nd streets in Manhattan Monday afternoon, authorities confirmed. Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Hudson River In Rockland
No one was injured when a small plane made an emergency landing in the Hudson River in Rockland County early Tuesday evening, authorities said. Piermont firefighters and EMS and Nyack firefighters were operating at the end of the pier while a Rockland County sheriff's Marine Unit towed the single-engine craft to shore, police said. The plane made the "controlled" water landing around 5 p.m. and was pulled from the water a little over two hours later, they said.

A pilot and passenger were injured and hospitalized when a small plane flying out of Westchester County Airport lost power and crashed onto a baseball field in Connecticut. A four-seat airplane was forced to make an emergency landing late Sunday morning at the Danbury Airport and both the pilot and passenger managed to avoid suffering injuries. At approximately 11:34 a.m., Danbury Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the airport on a report of an aircraft with an in-flight emergency. A Lear jet that had problems with the nose landing gear diverted safely from New Jersey to Stewart Airport in Orange County late Thursday morning, authorities said.
