New Milford PD: Essex Car Thieves Busted With Ski Masks, Counterfeit Cash, More
A trio of Essex County 18-year-olds suspected in local car thefts were grabbed by New Milford police with ski masks, mechanics’ gloves, stolen bank checks and counterfeit money in their car before dawn Thursday, authorities said.
Officer Samuel Gerais smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle after he stopped it on New Bridge Road a minute after midnight, Detective Lt. Kevin Van Saders said.
The three apparently had been cruising the area, looking for cars to steal, he said.

Wallington Drug Raid Produces Cocaine, Cash, Arrest
A Polish national had roughly $3,000 worth of cocaine for sale in his Wallington home, said authorities who arrested him.
Arkadiusz Krupinski, 30, “became a target after detectives received a tip that he was selling cocaine from his Anderson Avenue home,” Capt. Shawn Kudlacik said.
Besides the cocaine, detectives seized nearly $1,700 in drug proceeds during a warranted raid on Saturday involving a Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and a county sheriff’s K-9 unit, Kudlacik said.

Two men whom State Police said they nabbed with $375,000 worth of heroin and cocaine stashed in a Fair Lawn storage facility were ordered released by a judge after less than a week in jail, under New Jersey's 2017 bail reform law.
Detectives from the NJSP’s Central and North Trafficking Units stopped Wellington Moya, 44, of New York, N.Y., who was driving a Toyota Camry, and Douglas Watson, 41, of Hawthorne, who was driving a Range Rover, as they entered the Wagaraw Road storage facility on Aug. 31, State Police said.
