A University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) police officer is under arrest and facing charges for allegedly setting multiple fires on campus while he was on duty, the state fire marshal announced. Walter Christopher, 36, has been charged on a 12-count indictment for allegedly setting four fires between December 2021 and his arrest on Tuesday, July 19 authorities said.
