Brick Man, 34, Faces 7 Years State Prison On Weapons, Drug Dealing Charges
A 34-year-old man from Brick Township admitted to dealing drugs and carrying a handgun, authorities said. Jahmal Jones pleaded guilty on Tuesday before Superior Court Judge Rochelle Gizinski, Ocean County First Assistant Prosecutor Michael T. Nolan, Jr. said. Detectives from Barnegat and Lakewood townships police departments assisted in the investigation, searches and arrests, Nolan said. The Costco customer accused of making "terroristic threats" after losing his temper on a Jersey Shore cashier has been in trouble with the law at least a dozen times before in seven states, according to public court records. Two drivers were airlifted from the scene of a multiple-car collision that closed Route 72 in Stafford on Thursday, authorities said. The rush-hour crash involved a Jeep Cherokee driven by Joseph Sanzari, 67 of Barnegat traveling east on Route 72, Stafford police said in a statement on Facebook. A couple of drug dealers from Atlantic City were arrested on multiple drug charges, authorities said. Both suspects had outstanding warrants, Barnegat police said. Authorities charged a 24-year-old Ocean County man on Tuesday with death by auto, DWI and speeding for a crash last month that killed a passenger.
