Water Main Break Leads To Early Dismissals At Fox Lane High School, Middle School
A water main break on the Fox Lane Campus causing no water pressure, impacting toilets and all running water, resulted in early dismissal for Fox Lane High School and Fox Lane Middle School students late Thursday morning, Jan. 10. The dismissal occurred at 11 a.m. and all after-school and evening activities on the Fox Lane Campus are canceled for Thursday. Activities at other Bedford Central schools will go on as scheduled.

Oil Spill In Boiler Room Closes Elementary School In Northern Westchester
An oil spill in the boiler room discovered Monday morning has led to the closure of a school in Northern Westchester. West Patent Elementary School in Bedford Hills is closed Monday, Nov. 5 for students only, the Bedford Central School District announced. Faculty members should report to the Fox Lane Middle School.

Popular School Administrator In Northern Westchester Dies At 53
A popular school administrator in Northern Westchester and youth sports coach in Fairfield County has died at age 53. Brian Davidson was assistant principal at Fox Lane Middle School in Bedford who worked in the Bedford Central School District for 20 years. He also served as a guidance counselor during that time. Davidson had been on leave for the past year, according to BCSD Superintendent of Schools Christopher Manno. He died on Thursday, Aug. 16. Police Release Info On Reported Northern Westchester Luring Incident
Police in Bedford investigated a recent luring incident involving an elementary school student and a man in a sedan offering some candy. Investigators from the Bedford Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Babbitt Road and Buxton Road, when a “young male operating a tan or silver sedan called out to the (elementary school) student something to the effect of ‘Hey come in my car, I got some candy,’ according to police, before turning on Buxton Road and driving off. A 22-year-old school bus driver in Northern Westchester is behind bars after he was arrested after police say he had sexual contact with a minor and also sent sexually explicit text messages and images.
