Longtime Mount Kisco resident Brenda Elizabeth Barnes — a loving mother and grandmother, cherished sister and beloved aunt who savored the arts, culture and literature and whose experiences across the globe gave her a gracious wisdom and sense of humor — died on Sunday, Jan. 26. She was 80.
Brenda was born on June 2, 1939, one of the first to be born at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, in what was then a territory of the United States.

Margaret H. Broudy of Weston, formerly of Katonah, died at the Regional Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Danbury on Nov. 29 at the stroke of midnight, age 95 ½. She left on her own terms.
Margaret (aka Maggie and Margie, depending on which circle of family and friends was in the room) was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lt. Colonel Morris H. “Steve” Broudy, in 2011.
