Driver Airlifted When Tractor Trailer Overturns On Route 78 The driver of a tractor trailer was airlifted to the hospital after he lost control of his tractor trailer overturned on Route 78 earlier this week. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle on the westbound side near milepost 28.5 in Bedminster around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. Despite suffering only minor injuries, the driver was flown to Morristown Medical Center, Curry said. The right and center lanes of the highway were closed for five hours. The crash remains under investigation.
