One man was responsible for two dozen burglaries across greater Philadelphia and made off with nearly $300,000 in stolen goods, authorities claim.
Jamal Reid, 35, of Philadelphia, faces nearly 40 felony charges related to a string of break-ins and stick-ups over a 10-month period, said the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in a release.

When Donte Powell pulled the trigger of a gun that he moments before held to his ex-girlfriend's head, nothing happened, authorities in Bucks County said.
The magazine had fallen from the firearm that Powell was pointing up the stairs of his ex's Bensalem home last Saturday May 20, and a safety mechanism wouldn't allow it to fire, police said.
Still, he tried again. And again after that.

NJ Man Killed Brother-In-Law During Fight At PA Family Member's Apartment: Authorities
A New Jersey man surrendered to Bensalem police on Friday after he was indicted for causing his brother-in-law's death during a 2022 fistfight, authorities say.
Antwan McKoy, 37, of Maple Shade, NJ, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and harassment, said Bensalem police in a release.
According to investigators, McKoy and his wife were visiting her mother at the Bucks Meadow Apartments on June 19 of last year. Michael Whispell, McKoy's brother-in-law, was staying at the apartment at the time.
