Northampton County House Fire Displaces 4 Adults, 2 Children
A fast-moving fire tore through a Northampton County home Sunday night, displacing four adults and two children, authorities said. The blaze broke out at a home on the 1700 block of 3rd Street in Bethlehem Township just before 6:40 p.m., the Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company said on Facebook. Police: One Shot In Northampton County, Suspect In Custody
One person was injured and another taken into custody following a Tuesday afternoon shooting in Northampton County, police said. The shooting occurred near the 3100 block of Clifton Avenue in Bethlehem Township just after 2:30 p.m., police said. A suspect was subsequently arrested and taken into custody following the incident, police said. The entrance to the development remained blocked for emergency personnel and processing as of 3:30 p.m., though there is no danger to anyone in the area, police said. A Lehigh Valley man who worked for the New York City Department of Probation is accused of possessing “thousands” of child pornography pictures and videos, a new report says. Bethlehem Township resident Robert Costello of the 3200 block of Highfield Drive was charged with 75 counts of child pornography following his initial arrest last October, LehighValleyLive reports. The northbound lanes of Route 33 in Northampton County were closed due to a tractor-trailer rollover crash with an SUV Tuesday afternoon, state police said. UPDATE: A 73-year-old Allentown woman sustained minor injuries in the crash. One Northampton County COVID-19 testing site has seen nearly one in five patients return positive results for the virus.
