A Montclair man was charged after allegedly hacking into a Fort Lee condominium’s communication system and sending hundreds of residents threatening, bias-filled emails, authorities said.
Nicholas M. Scarano, 23, of Montclair, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 15, one day after the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit was notified of a mass email containing bias and threatening language, Prosecutor Mark Musella said Saturday.

A 61-year-old Holmdel man was arrested and charged on Saturday, March 29, after he attempted to rip down a pride flag from Main Street Donuts, later returning to make a Nazi salute, authorities said.
At 11:45 a.m., officers responded to the donut shop at 141 Main St. and learned a man, later identified as Maciej Wojciak, with a t-shirt tied around his head as a mask, attempted to remove a Pride flag from in front of the business, damaging the metal bracket, Matawan police said.

A Manchester Township man will spend several years in prison after admitting to an antisemitic crime spree, including arson and spray painting Nazi symbols on homes, authorities said.
Ron Carr, 35, was sentenced on Friday, Aug. 16 to seven years in state prison, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. He pleaded guilty on Thursday, June 20 to arson, bias intimidation, and two counts of criminal mischief.

Somerville Man Vandalized Bridgewater Mosque: Police
A 29-year-old Somerville man was arrested and charged on Monday, July 22, with vandalizing the Al Falah Center in Bridgewater, authorities said.
At 6:34 p.m., Julian Dale drove onto the property of the mosque at 881 US Highway 202/206, before leaving a short time later, Bridgewater police said. At 7 p.m., a mosque employee observed bias graffiti spray painted on a pillar near the main entrance to the building, police said.
Detectives later located Dale and arrested him after an interview, police said. He was charged with bias intimidation and criminal mischief, police said.

A Lacey Township man admitted to racist threats against an Amazon driver and illegally selling large amounts of marijuana, authorities said.
John Vincentini, 64, pleaded guilty in two separate cases on Friday, June 7, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. He and his wife, 64-year-old Karen Vincentini, have been held in the Ocean County Jail since March.

A 44-year-old man from Ocean County is accused of texting another man with racial slurs and threats, authorities said.
