Tractor-Trailer Rollover Causes Hours-Long Lane Closure On I-84 Traffic is back up to speed on I-84 following an overnight tractor-trailer crash that closed the highway for hours. The crash took place around 10:25 p.m., Tuesday when a tractor-trailer lost control and overturned blocking the left-hand lane of I- 84 eastbound in Newburgh, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks. An eastbound passenger vehicle, unable to avoid the wreckage, then struck the overturned tractor trailer. Both drivers received minor injuries, he added. Assisting on scene included Brewster firefighters and EMStar paramedics.

Man Rescued After Arm Becomes Stuck Between Rollers At Manufacturer In Brewster A 33-year-old man is in intensive care after his arm became stuck in a large machine while at work late Monday afternoon. Michael Avery of Wappingers Falls was rescued around 4:35 p.m. Monday at the Dunmore Corporation in Brewster, after his arm was caught between two large rollers in a machine, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Brewster Fire Department Parade Marks 63rd Year Members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office participated in the annual Brewster Fire Department Parade on Friday, July 27 before the thunderstorms rolled in "What a wonderful showing of our local and regional first responders!" the Putnam County Sheriff's Office posted on its Facebook page. Bailey, 87, of Dover Plains, also worked for years as a tree surgeon at Coffin Tree Service in Tarrytown. Born on February 18, 1931, in Danbury, he was the son of the late Myron A. and Blanche Bailey. He was married to Cynthia L.
