28-Year-Old Hit, Killed By Garbage Truck In Fairfield
A person was hit and killed by a garbage truck in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Fairfield around 7:13 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the area of Camfield Drive at Bloomfield Drive. According to Lt. Edward Nook Jr. of the Fairfield Police, the 28-year-old person was struck by a United Carting truck and was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Medical Examiners personnel took the victim from the scene. OSHA also arrived on the scene to investigate. The operator of the garbage truck has not been charged at this time and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, Nook said. …

Multiple people were injured when a driver drove in the wrong direction on Route 8 in Fairfield County causing a five-vehicle pileup. Hit-Run: Stratford Man Charged With Killing 19-Year-old Woman
Police have arrested a man for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 19-year-old Fairfield County woman. Troy Watley, age 28, of Stratford, was arrested on Saturday, July 1, after he allegedly hit and killed the 19-year-old shortly after 12 a.m., near St, Michael’s Cemetery on Stratford Avenue and then fled from the scene, said Capt.
