Man Calling Himself 'Lucifer' Arrested For Murder In Fairfield County Store, Police Say
A Fairfield County man who called himself Lucifer has been arrested for allegedly killing a man and then robbing him after he was dead.
Luis Morales, age 31, of Bridgeport was arrested late Thursday evening, Dec. 16, for the shooting death of 23-year-old Clinton Taylor, at a local store earlier in the night, said the Bridgeport Police.
According to Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport, the shooting took place around 9:15 p.m. at Sammy's Grocery & Dollar Store, at 500 Park Ave.
Taylor is the grandson of former Bridgeport city councilwoman Denese Taylor-Moye.

Man Charged With Assault, Carjacking In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County man was arrested for his involvement in a series of crimes that included assaulting and carjacking a woman at gunpoint.
Jose Francisco Ramos, age 52, of Bridgeport, was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 9, by US Marshals for the incident which took place on Wednesday, Oct. 13, said Lt. Brian Weir of the Trumbull Police.
On Oct. 13, around 7:40 a.m., Trumbull Police received multiple calls about an armed carjacking at an office building on Corporate Drive, where a gun was displayed, Weir said.

Man, Woman From Fairfield County Nabbed Stealing $2K In Merchandise From Macy's, Police Say
Man and woman from Fairfield County have been accused of allegedly stealing more than $2,000 worth of merchandise from an area Macy's.
The Bridgeport residents, Janet Gonzalez, age 42, and Carlos Hernandez, age 32, were arrested on Tuesday, July 27, after shoplifting from the Westfield Trumbull Mall, then attempted to enter a stolen vehicle before running from police.
According to Lt. Brian Weir, the two left Macy’s with almost $2000 worth of unpaid-for clothing. Macy’s security initially attempted to stop them, but they left the store.

18-Year-Old Killed In Long Island Sound Jet Ski Accident
A 2021 high school graduate from Fairfield County is being remembered by friends and family after he was killed when two jet skis collided in the Long Island Sound.
Matthew (Matt) Horvath, age 18, of Shelton, died on Tuesday, July 27, in Milford, said Will Healy, spokesman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Healy said Horvath was killed in a boating accident in which jet skis collided in the Sound.
He was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Healy said.
