Atlantic City Pedestrian Struck, Killed
A 66-year-old woman from Atlantic City was struck and killed by a vehicle as she crossed the road, authorities said. Atlantic City patrol officers responded to Tennessee and Atlantic Avenues at 4:12 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, a police department spokesman. Officers arrived to find Jill Collette suffering from serious injuries, according to Fair. Human Remains Wash Up On South Jersey Shore
UPDATED: New Jersey State Police are investigating a body found along the Atlantic County shore. Human remains were found by a passerby on the northern portion of Brigantine Beach at 9:47 a.m. on Thursday, according to Sgt. Lawrence Peele, a state police spokesman. New Jersey State Police, State Park Police and Brigantine Police Department responded to the scene in Brigantine, Peele said. Authorities: South Jersey Man Charged With Brutally Killing His 30-Year-Old Wife With A Hammer
A 36-year-old man from Atlantic County has been charged in the brutal slaying of his wife, authorities said. Rachel Declementi, 30, was found unconscious, bleeding from her head and face, they said. Brigantine police received a 9-1-1 call at 4:27 a.m. on Saturday from 17 Girard Place, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said. The Atlantic City Police Department is mourning the loss of a 29-year-old officer, found dead in his car over the weekend. The body of Officer Richard Link, of Brigantine, was found in his car in Galloway Saturday, his department said in a statement. The cause of death was not included but police said his passing was sudden and unexpected.
