Seven Westchester Residents Charged With DWI By State Police
With law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley continuing their crackdown on drunk, drugged and distracted driving, several local residents were among two dozen motorists who found themselves charged with DWI offenses in the area this past week. Local residents charged were: Westchester County On Friday, Sept. 7, State Police from Brewster arrested Michele Drella, 53, of Mount Kisco, for DWI. Motorcyclist Injured In Route 7 Crash
This story has been updated. There were stop-and-go delays on a stretch of Route 7 in Fairfield County early Sunday after a crash involving a motorcycle. The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on northbound Route 7 near Route 202/Federal Road in Brookfield. The extent of the motorcyclist's injuries were not immediately released. I-84 Crash Causes Gridlock During Morning Commute

Popular School Administrator In Northern Westchester Dies At 53
A popular school administrator in Northern Westchester and youth sports coach in Fairfield County has died at age 53. Brian Davidson was assistant principal at Fox Lane Middle School in Bedford who worked in the Bedford Central School District for 20 years. He also served as a guidance counselor during that time. Davidson had been on leave for the past year, according to BCSD Superintendent of Schools Christopher Manno. He died on Thursday, Aug. 16. Once a rare sight, the black bear is making a comeback in Fairfield County -- and statewide. The Connecticut State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) reported that a total of 7,493 black bear sightings have been reported in Connecticut in the past year, from Aug. 10, 2017 to Aug. 5 of this year, including hundreds in Fairfield County. Nine Westchester Residents Charged With Driving While Impaired
With local and state police agencies cracking down on drunk, drugged and distracted driving, several local residents were among nearly two dozen in the area who found themselves on the wrong side of the law. Hundreds are reporting power outages in Norwalk early on Thursday afternoon. South Norwalk Electric and Water is working on repairing outages to approximately 400 customers in Norwalk, mostly on Connecticut Avenue, with an estimated time of restoration no later than approximately 1 p.m. Additionally, as of 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, 633 of Eversource’s 1,270,384 customers were reporting that they were in the dark. A wild police chase that started in Newtown and continued through Bridgeport ended with a crash, a foot chase and a home invasion, according to Connecticut State Police. Eversource’s “army of crews” is making “steady progress” as they continue to restore power to customers in areas of Northern Fairfield County nearly a week after a storm rocked the region.
