Long Island Ride-Share Driver Stabbed By Passenger
A ride-sharing driver was stabbed by a passenger he picked up on Long Island. The incident took place in East Patchogue around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, April 10. Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating after the driver told officers he was threatened by a passenger with a knife who then cut him, police said. The driver was able to drive himself to Long Island Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Brookhaven Man Critically Injured After Pickup Truck Crashes Into Tree, Police Say
Police are investigating a crash that left a Long Island man critically injured. It happened around 2:50 p.m. Saturday, March 12 in Holbrook. A 63-year-old Brookhaven man was driving a 2007 Ford pickup truck westbound on Express Drive North when the vehicle left the road, struck a tree and overturned, Suffolk County Police said.
