A man in a ski mask was arrested in Clifton after he was caught breaking into a parked car, police said.
Officers responded around 1:14 a.m. on Thursday, April 3 to a report of a suspicious person near the intersection of Center Street and Arthur Street, according to Clifton Police Lt. Robert Anderson.
The witness, an off-duty law enforcement officer from another agency, told police he saw the man enter an unlocked 2012 Mazda, rummage through the interior, and then try to enter other parked cars.

A 29-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested while driving a stolen car in Fairfield on Thursday, March 20, authorities said.
At 8:30 p.m., officers were alerted via an Automated License Plate Reader that had a car had entered town after being reported stolen in West New York on Sunday, March 16, Fairfield police said.
