Far Hills-Bedminster FD Contain Car Fire That Had Begun To Spread The Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department Sunday put out a car fire that broke out on eastbound I-78, the department said in a statement.  Firefighters found the vehicle on the left shoulder, where it had touched off a brush fire. The main blaze was quickly contained but firefighters had to apply fire-suppressing foam to the highway after spilled fuel ignited.  There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The fire started Thursday afternoon, April 4, near 10 Estybrook Trail, on the mountain, said the Mountain Lodge Park Fire Company. The department said the fire was "very large." Brush Fire Burns Through Orangeburg For Hours More than seven fire departments spent several hours battling a brush fire in Orangeburg after police received a report of "an odor of smoke" in the area, according to the Orangetown Police. The call came in around 4:51 p.m. Wednesday reporting the smell near Tweed Boulevard on Clausland Mountain where responding officers found flames in the area of southwest Nike Lane, said Orangetown Sgt.
