A drug kingpin who headed a network that slung fentanyl and meth in South Jersey and the suburbs of Philadelphia while he hid from his pursuers was sentenced Thursday to a plea-bargained 18 years in federal prison. Glenn Long, 29, of Philadelphia, must serve just about all of the time he received in U.S. District Court in Camden on Jan. 4 because there’s no parole in the federal prison system. Man, 38, Dies Of Injuries From Camden Shooting: Prosecutor
A 38-year-old Camden man died Friday Dec. 15 from injuries sustained in a shooting three weeks earlier, authorities said. On Nov. 20, at 9:08 p.m., Camden County Police responded to Hunter Drive after receiving a 911 call for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man, who was later identified as Anthony Young, 38, was transported to Cooper University Hospital. A 27-year-old pedalcyclist was struck and killed by a car Monday, Nov. 13, in Camden County. Nicholas Krier was heading north on S. Franklin Avenue approaching Route 30, and was struck by a 47-year-old woman operating a Subaru Outback while trying to cross over White Horse Pike, just before 5 a.m. in Berlin, local police said. PA Man Charged With Torching NJ Home For Insurance Money
A Pennsylvania man already awaiting trial in connection with other incidents was charged with setting fire to a former home in Cherry Hill to collect on the insurance. Richard Orlandini, 62, of Wilkes Barre, collected at least $75,000 from Allstate by "recklessly placing others in danger of death or bodily injury," New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. A man was killed and a woman was wounded in a Camden shooting Friday, Oct. 27, authorities said. Akeem Jenkins, 33, and a 32-year-old woman, both city residents, were found with gunshot wounds just before 8 p.m., on the 2800 block of Hull Road, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C.
