Boil Water Advisory Ends In York, Cumberland Counties: Penn American Water Co.
Pennsylvania American Water Co. issued a boil water order for customers in York and Cumberland counties, starting on Friday, Aug. 9, and ending on Tuesday, Aug. 13. The company initially warned that 42,000 customers were affected in the following areas: Camp Hill, Lemoyne, New Cumberland, Shiremanstown, West Fairview and Wormleysburg boroughs; East Pennsboro, Hampden, Lower Allen, Silver Spring townships; parts of Middlesex and Upper Allen townships; and parts of Fairview and Newberry townships. Multi-Vehicle Crash Partially Closes I-81 In Central PA: PennDOT (

A multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer has led to lane restriction on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Friday, Aug. 9. The crash happened on I-81 South in the center and right lane at mm 58.3 around 4:40 p.m., according to Schreffler. The lane restriction is at Exit 59: Route 581 East to Route 11: Camp Hill, according to PennDOT's 511PA. PSP and Beltway Patrol are on the scene. A 50-year-old sex offender and felon — with convictions in five counties — has died in the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution in Camp Hill, Superintendent Michael Gourley announced on Wednesday, July 3. Convicted Rapist Gives Fake Camp Hill Address To Comply With Meghan's Law, Police Say
A 56-year-old convicted rapist from Pennsylvania is facing charges for reporting a fake address in order to comply with Meghan's Law, authorities said. David Pressler, a lifetime offender who was convicted of rape in May 1996, failed to provide a valid address to Pennsylvania State Police's Megan's Law Section, Camp Hill police said. Police were called to investigate the change of address on the 1800 block of Market Street on May 13, according to police. Pressler was subsequently charged with failure to provide accurate registration information.

A man who allegedly pointed a gun at people in a road rage incident was arrested on Wednesday morning, court records show. A road has reopened following a natural gas leak in Central Pennsylvania, the police announced on Thursday evening. Initially, the 2100 block of Market Street was "closed to vehicles and pedestrians," the Camp Hill police stated in a release at 2:58 p.m. on May 9. A fugitive was captured in Pennsylvania early Wednesday morning. The unnamed man has a Rochester, NY address, a South Carolina driver's license, and was wanted on a warrant in Maryland, the Camp Hill police explained.
