A woman was found unresponsive after a nearly 50-mile police chase that ended in Oswego County, New York State Police announced on Monday, Sept. 15.
The pursuit began when troopers attempted to stop a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse on State Route 49 in the town of Vienna, Oneida County, around 11:38 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, according to police. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Caitlyn M. Hand of Canandaigua, failed to comply and continued westbound, sparking a chase.

A New York man was killed and another seriously injured when their ATV was struck by a car in the Poconos, police announced on Monday, Sept. 15.
The crash happened in the northbound lane of State Route 115 in Tunkhannock Township at 2:36 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, according to the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department.
Dymtro Prokopets, 22, of Brooklyn, was operating the ATV with 19-year-old passenger, also of Brooklyn, when their vehicle was struck from behind by a 2018 Nissan Sentra, police said.

Orange Man Killed After Crashing Into 2 Trees On Route 280: Njsp
A 79-year-old Orange man was killed in a crash on Route 280 on Sunday, Sept. 14, authorities said.
At 12:57 a.m., troopers responded to Route 280 east in Orange after a Honda SUV veered off the roadway, struck a mound of sand, overturned and crashed into two trees, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
Joel Sterling, the driver of the Honda, was pronounced dead at the scene, Lebron said.
The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
